Chess Across North, Central and South America
FIDE America, officially known as the Confederation of Chess for the Americas (CCA), is the continental organization responsible for coordinating chess activities across the Americas under the framework of FIDE, the International Chess Federation.
The organization works with national federations throughout North America, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. Its responsibilities include organizing continental championships, supporting player development, coordinating educational programs, training arbiters and coaches, and representing the interests of member federations within FIDE.

About FIDE America
The Americas are home to millions of chess players, thousands of clubs, and dozens of national federations. FIDE America provides a common structure that allows these federations to cooperate through shared competitions, regulations, and development initiatives.
The organization coordinates activities across five FIDE zones and works closely with national federations to support chess at every level, from youth participation and school programs to international championships and title events.

Leadership
FIDE America is governed by an elected board serving four-year terms.
The current administration for 2022–2026 is led by President Jose Antonio Carrillo together with representatives from federations across the Americas. The board works alongside commissions, organizers, arbiters, trainers, and federation officials throughout the region.
